Ryan Searle and
Madars Razma are the last two players to secure a spot in the last eight at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open. Both players survived a deciding leg Sunday afternoon.
Searle proved too strong for Daryl Gurney, 6-5. The Northern Irishman squandered a wide lead, after getting to 4-1 via a 160 finish. Searle then pinned 65 and 130 to cut the deficit to 4-3.
A 15-darter then brought Gurney to 5-3, before he missed a matchdart in the ninth leg. Searle closed the gap to 5-4 with double one, before an 18-darter levelled the score.
Razma caused a surprise by eliminating Joe Cullen 6-5. 'The Rockstar' managed to make up another 5-3 deficit and got to start the last leg himself, but Cullen was then not out in five innings. Razma then did via a 96 finish, giving a 6-5 victory to the darter from Latvia.
