Rydz claims maiden Challenge Tour title defeating Evans in Event 16

Callan Rydz has continued his impressive year so far adding a maiden Challenge Tour title to his first Development Tour won in April by defeating David Evans in Wolverhampton.

Rydz saw off Evans in the final 5-2 in a match where he averaged 102; the Bedlington ace has been unlucky at times in the past year or so where he lost out in Q-School on countback but is starting to find his mojo and showed today he is a force to be reckoned with.

Evans has also shown similar this weekend where he lost out in two finals in both second events of the day over the weekend but just fell short against Rydz with a 95 average.

There were good runs also for the likes of Lisa Ashton who lost out in the Last 16, Jesus Noguera who added the same on a day where he also won another title; as well as Adam Huckvale with 'Bad Medicine' just losing out in the last four.

Rydz joins Cameron Menzies, Patrick Lynskey and the aforementioned Jesus Noguera to win titles this weekend ahead of the final four events of Challenge Tour action which take place on the last weekend of September and will be hotly anticipated.
