Ian White has advanced to the second round of the World Darts Championship without playing. He was supposed to face Sandro Eric Sosing in the first round on Friday afternoon, but the Asian dart player withdrew last-minute due to health problems.
The Filipino was already at Alexandra Palace and was preparing for his match against White. While throwing in, however, Sosing suddenly experienced chest discomfort.
Sosing was then examined by medical personnel, after which it was decided to have him further examined. As a result, Sosing was forced to withdraw and White was given a free pass to the second round, in which Ritchie Edhouse awaits on Sunday afternoon.
