The
Dutch Darts Masters is the latest
World Series of Darts tournament which will take place this weekend at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
Starting with the first round on Friday night, it sees the PDC representatives take on the best Dutch talent in the PDC making it one of the toughest fields in a World Series tournament.
This is evidenced by a first round which features a returning
Michael van Gerwen who has only just had surgery on his arm but the jury will be out on his condition when he faces the Dutch number two in
Danny Noppert who of course is current UK Open champion and a player who has got the better of MVG multiple times over the past 12 months.
Also among the ties is
Peter Wright facing
Dirk van Duijvenbode, a player in superb form as of late. While
Gerwyn Price takes on
Vincent van der Voort in another tough opener.
In addition, recent World Series winners in
Michael Smith and Dimitri van den Bergh face Martijn Kleermaker and Ron Meulenkamp respectively.
James Wade faces Jeffrey de Zwaan,
Jonny Clayton takes on Jermaine Wattimena and finally for Fallon Sherrock who could drive straight to the Women's Series after tonight faces Maik Kuivenhoven in an important weekend for the Milton Keynes thrower.
