The
European Darts Open is set to continue on Saturday evening with the big names coming into proceedings including
Michael van Gerwen,
Peter Wright and
Gerwyn Price.
They will all play in a row tonight with Price facing Luke Woodhouse who produced a personal best 109 average on the opening day and by his own admission may need to replicate that.
While Van Gerwen usually after losing in the Premier League has been known to hit back but faces a tough opener in Daryl Gurney who has had his number at times recently but can 'Superchin' rise to the occasion again.
Speaking of tough ties, Wright will face Challenge Tour standout, Scott Williams who donned Rupert the Bear trousers and Paul Nicholson socks yesterday so who will win not only the battle on the oche but of the weird and wonderful outfits.
Other ties include
Jonny Clayton, the Premier League leader facing Rowby-John Rodriguez in a potentially high quality affair. With Luke Humphries-Darren Penhall and Nathan Aspinall-Karel Sedlacek opening the night.
Rob Cross-Martin Schindler and finally Damon Heta-Dave Chisnall will conclude proceedings.
