Schedule confirmed for European Championship 2020: Bumper session set for opening day

The European Championship is set to take place from Thursday 29 October to Sunday 1 November and all 32 players will be in action on the opening day in Oberhausen.

Reigning champion Rob Cross will kick off his title defence against Martijn Kleermaker in one of 16 matches on Thursday. Dave Chisnall will take on Jamie Hughes in the tournament opener while to conclude proceedings, Mensur Suljovic will face Daryl Gurney.

A triple header of the World's Top Three will precede that final game with Michael van Gerwen to face Darius Labanauskas, Gerwyn Price to take on Kim Huybrechts and Peter Wright returns to action against Gabriel Clemens.

Top seed will be Joe Cullen who will take on William O'Connor in the tenth match. The latter finding his way into the tournament after Glen Durrant tested positive for COVID-19.

Friday sees the winners face off across two sessions, this is followed by the Quarter-Finals on Saturday and the semi-finals and Final on Sunday.
