On Friday afternoon, the 13th and final European Tour of the season will begin in the form of the Czech Darts Open which takes place between October 18-20 in the capital of Prague.
Earlier this year, Euro Tour tournaments were played in Belgium, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Hungary as well as Switzerland meaning one final country gets ticked off. Also the race to Dortmund also concludes with Nathan Aspinall currently occupying the final qualification spot. So certainly one that will go down to the wire.
The afternoon session begins with Welshman Robert Owen facing off against Dutch ace Niels Zonneveld with Jermaine Wattimena following on. He faces off against Hungary's Patrik Kovacs. Dave Chisnall and Chris Dobey will await the winners tomorrow when the seeds enter the fray.
Ritchie Edhouse will look to continue his superb season when he faces the first Host Nation Qualifier in Jiri Brejcha. Florian Hempel follows up against Alan Soutar, while Krzysztof Ratajski will take on Madars Razma.
Brendan Dolan faces Gabriel Clemens with Martin Lukeman v Callan Rydz also set to be another entertaining battle. Before Joe Cullen ends the session against another Host Nation Qualifier in Pavel Drtil.
In terms of who they would face in their route through. Lukeman or Rydz would take on Ricardo Pietreczko. The Dolan/Clemens clash sees the winner face Damon Heta. While Josh Rock takes on the victor of Cullen/Drtil.
Ross Smith will face either Hempel or Soutar. All of those ties are in the Afternoon Session. While the victors of Ratajski v Razma, Edhouse v Brejcha will face Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries tomorrow.

TV and live stream

The Czech Darts Open will be broadcast on PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, this event consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12 p.m., while the evening sessions start at 6 p.m.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the conclusion of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

Distribution of prize money

At this Euro Tour tournament, a total of £175,000 in prize money will be divided among the 48 participants. They will receive at least 1250 pounds in starting money. The top-16 seeded players who enter the Czech Darts Open from the second round will receive 2,500 pounds anyway.
They do - like the 16 Order of Merit qualifiers starting in the first round - have to win their first match in order for the prize money to count toward the world rankings and the other rankings. The winner of the Czech Darts Open will ultimately go home with the top prize of 30,000 pounds.
