The first round will conclude on Monday night at the 2021 World Grand Prix with a bumper session featuring many of the top contenders for the title in Leicester.
These include Peter Wright who saw Gerwyn Price, his rival for the World Number One spot lay down a marker against Michael Smith and he will look to do the same when he faces Rob Cross.
Michael van Gerwen will look to add his first major title of the year this week and will face Danny Noppert who ran him close in Gibraltar. Known to be vulnerable over the short format, could 'The Freeze' disrupt Mighty Mike's chances?
Gary Anderson hasn't claimed the World Grand Prix during his career with a best of a runner-up spot back in 2016 but he will start his campaign against Ian White later today hoping to return to the winners' circle.
Other ties include Jonny Clayton facing the dangerous Callan Rydz, Jose de Sousa facing Glen Durrant who has really suffered with form woes this year and will hope his time off to rebuild has done him good to mount a challenge against 'The Special One'.
As well as Vincent van der Voort facing Gabriel Clemens, Nathan Aspinall taking on Krzysztof Ratajski with Darius Labanauskas and Brendan Dolan starting proceedings off.
As usual, it is best of three so will any of the top names fall vulnerable or will it be smooth sailing through at the Morningside Arena.
