The sixteen remaining players continue to battle for the title at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel on Sunday.. Sunday afternoon starts a jam-packed final day with the eighth finals, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final take place in the evening.
Right away in the first match of the afternoon comes Michael van Gerwen. He meets Andrew Gilding, who was too strong for Peter Wright in the second round. Van Gerwen in turn won over compatriot Wessel Nijman.
In the third match of the afternoon, Danny Noppert will battle Franz Roetzsch. Noppert turned a 1-4 deficit against Raymond van Barneveld into a 6-5 victory in the second round. Roetzsch provided a shock by defeating Josh Rock.
Deadly Damon Heta will take on Mike de Decker for a spot in the third round. World champion Luke Humphries faces off with Ross Smith, while Ritchie Edhouse faces Ricardo Pietreczko.
Former world champion Rob Cross meets Stephen Bunting, and Daryl Gurney takes on Ryan Searle. The final match of the third round is between Madars Razma and Joe Cullen.
