Eight men are still in the race for the title at the Baltic Sea Darts Open. They will decide Sunday night who takes the title in Kiel. What is certain is that there will be a new winner on the honor roll, because the previous two tournament winners Dave Chisnall and Rob Cross have already been eliminated.
We start the evening, which begins once at 5 p.m., right away with a delicious cracker. World number one Luke Humphries takes on former world champion Gerwyn Price. Humphries previously won over Mickey Mansell (6-5) and Ryan Searle (6-0), while Price was too strong for William O'Connor (6-1) and Wessel Nijman (6-5). Looking at the head-to-head, "The Iceman" has the advantage. Price won thirteen times over Humphries, compared to eleven wins for the Englishman.
In the second match of the evening it is the turn of Danny Noppert, the only remaining Dutchman at the Baltic Sea Darts Open. 'The Freeze' already played two excellent matches and won handsomely against Mike de Decker (6-3) and Nathan Aspinall (6-2). He will compete in the last eight against Chris Dobey, who was responsible for the elimination of Dirk van Duijvenbode (6-3) and Ross Smith (6-3). Noppert could also boast a good record against Dobey, as 'The Freeze' won six of the previous nine matches.

Clayton v Anderson headlines otherside of the bracket

On the other side of the bracket, Martin Schindler will take on James Wade. Schindler won Saturday night in the second round over Jermaine Wattimena (6-3), before overcoming compatriot Niko Springer 6-4. Wade showed razor sharp on the doubles in his first two duels, dealing with Luke Woodhouse (6-1) and Daryl Gurney (6-5). Wade boasts a good record against his upcoming German opponent. Of the previous nine encounters, the left-handed dart player has won seven times.
The final quarterfinal will go between Jonny Clayton and Gary Anderson, two players who were outstanding Sunday afternoon. Clayton won 6-2 against Josh Rock thanks to an average of 106.90, having earlier won over Gian van Veen (6-4). Anderson eliminated Krzysztof Ratajski (6-2) and Andy Baetens (6-3).
