Eight spots remain to be divided for the third round at the 2024 German Darts Grand Prix. Sunday night the final eight duels from the second round will be played.
The evening session opens with a tie between former world champion Michael Smith and Cameron Menzies. In the second match of the evening session, Danny Noppert will take on Gian van Veen. For Noppert, it will be his first match at this tournament, while Van Veen won against Raymond van Barneveld in the first round.

There is then a delicious cracker between former world champions Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright in arguably the tie of the round before reigning world champion Luke Humphries will battle Luke Woodhouse, while Damon Heta faces Martin Schindler and Damon Heta vs Martin Schindler.
Later in the evening, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Michael van Gerwen will go head to head in Munich. De Zwaan managed to win over 'Mighty Mike' twice at a televised tournament early in his pro career, but the other six encounters were just by Van Gerwen. It will only be the first meeting between these two Dutchmen since November 2020, though.
Dimitri van den Bergh is the only Belgian in action Sunday night. The UK Open champion will square off against Dave Chisnall, who leads the ranking list at this event. The evening concludes with a showdown between Jonny Clayton and Joe Cullen.
Sunday afternoon the first eight matches of the second round were already played. Hereby Ross Smith, Josh Rock, Chris Dobey, Ryan Joyce, Jermaine Wattimena, Ryan Searle, Rob Cross and Nathan Aspinall managed to qualify for the last sixteen.
