Fallon Sherrock sees her hopes of gaining a Tour Card ended after a 6-3 defeat to Rob Collins in the Last 64 ❌ The Women's World Matchplay champion ends the week on five points. #QSchool
Fallon Sherrock has had her best Q-School to date but has missed out narrowly on sealing her maiden PDC Tour Card and joining Lisa Ashton who is still the only female to win one at PDC Q-School.
Sherrock came into today in yellow on DartsRankings meaning she was just outside the provisional slots but would move in if a player in the top nine won outright and received a bye through to the Last 64.
This being the point scoring round meaning she likely needed two wins to get onto seven points which currently seems to be enough for a Tour Card. Facing Rob Collins, she scored well but couldn't take her chances.
This included missing 36 at 1-1 for 2-1 and being broken from there as well as at 4-3 with Sherrock having the chance to break again but this was the final opportunity with Collins going 5-3 up and breaking in the next leg for a 6-3 win.
As a result, Dom Taylor currently occupies the tenth spot with Ryan Harrington still involved in 11th, Chris Quantock and Mark McGeeney with the latter in 8th are out of the running now with Adam Hunt and Christian Perez in particular into the Last 64 with chance to add points.
Lee Evans similarly is in the Last 64 and likely will need only one more point to finish top of the Order of Merit, Graham Hall and Stephen Burton are also through and one away from seven points.
