The first two players who are through to the final day at the Belgian Darts Championship are confirmed with Michael Smith and Martijn Kleermaker making it through to Sunday.
Smith was playing his first match since his brilliant Premier League win on Thursday where he hit a nine-dart finish and he continued in similar form against Ronny Huybrechts.
'Bully Boy' averaged 103.28 in a 6-1 win over the experienced Host Nation Qualifier. This included two 180's and 50 percent on the doubles.
Huybrechts didn't play poorly hitting four 180's himself but couldn't produce on the doubles while Smith was clinical on them with the former hitting only 16 percent (1/6) over the course of the match.
Joe Cullen as the seed on the other hand did not have it his own way with 'The Rockstar' being dumped out by Dutch ace
Martijn Kleermaker.
Kleermaker was impressive yesterday against Stephen Bunting but nearly let a 5-1 lead slip against 'The Bullet'. It was a closely fought tie in the early stages but with Cullen only averaging 79 in that section of the match, it was a big mountain to climb.
The former as a result surged ahead only losing one more leg en route to yet another impressive victory as his
European Tour debut run continues.
