The first group matches of the
Grand Slam of Darts are over. In groups B-C-D-H, the first games have been played and it is clear who is in a good position and who needs to hit the ground running.
In Group B, Danny Noppert is in the lead. The Dutchman was 5-2 too strong for Beau Greaves. Cameron Menzies managed to beat German Martin Schindler with the same result. Noppert and Cameron Menzies can make a big step towards the last sixteen on Sunday.
Martin Lukeman easily won 5-0 over the ailing Peter Wright, taking the lead in Group C. Rob Cross was 5-2 too strong for Leonard Gates, doing good business.
Group D has a surprising leader in the name of Connor Scutt. The rookie whitewashed his compatriot Dave Chisnall, taking a good step towards the next round. Ritchie Edhouse also impressed by beating Ross Smith 5-1.
In Group H, Gian van Veen is on top. 'The Giant' impressed by beating Josh Rock with an average of no less than 110.39. Stephen Bunting was in an exciting match just too strong for the other Dutchman Wessel Nijman. The Bullet' eventually won 5-4.
