Steve Brown set for father son duo with John Brown after Q-School success: "Words aren’t enough for how proud we are"

Steve Brown will be joined by son, John Brown on the PDC ProTour in seemingly the first father son duo to appear on the professional tour.

Brown, a former ranking winner and the chairman of both JDC and MAD won through Q-School in 2020 and is into his second year as a Tour Card holder on his return.

He will now be joined by John who has always been seen as a promising darting talent and is part of Target's Elite 1 squad alongside the likes of Leighton Bennett and fellow new Tour Card holder, Lewy Williams.

It was noted during Q-School even that John was using his Dad's darts so it seems it give the Bristol ace a boost as he heads onto the PDC ProTour for the first time.

"Words aren’t enough for how proud we are for JB (John Brown)," said Steve on his Twitter post Q-School.

"Always had the talent, now showing the maturity required. PDC pro tour player - wow! Looking forward to being on the tour together."

All eyes will be on the first Super Series next week to see if they will draw each other alongside the big names and the return of Raymond van Barneveld.
