Mensur Suljovic has won another title to add to his recent glory in Vienna but it is his first Players Championship title of the year with victory over Ian White in an absolute thriller.

It was one of the best finals ever seen since the Players Championship streams were started due to the standard which saw a 107 average from White as well as 'Diamond' hitting a second nine-dart finish of the day but he still couldn't claim a first Players Championship win of the year.
White hit the front to begin the tie opening up a 4-2 advantage in the early going but Suljovic replied hitting a 140 checkout on route to 3 legs on the spin to go 5-4 up.
Following that, White increased the pressure by hitting the aforementioned nine-dart finish but Suljovic wasn't unsettled by that and went 6-5 up.
White sent it the distance at 6-6 and despite Suljovic going one away, this happened again and a decider was set.
'The Gentle' though produced brilliance in that leg to claim the title, a seventh of his career to continue his excellent form.
