Mensur Suljovic smashed Jermaine Wattimena in a 10-1 win in the second game of the night at the World Matchplay as last year's finalist put in a superb display to move through.

Wattimena was getting frustrated and not performing anywhere near his capability and 'The Gentle' pounced all over it claiming the crushing victory; with a 97 average and 55 percent on the doubles
To start the contest off, Suljovic was superb in the first session; with Wattimena not coping with Mensur's methodical throw and as a result, the Austrian was firmly in control at 4-1 ahead with a 91 average compared to 84 from the Dutchman.
Mensur continued when they returned breaking the throw with an 80 checkout; then holding to go 6-1 up and continue his procession so far in the contest.
The nightmare continued for Wattimena who had no answer to Suljovic as he went 8-1 up including going six darts into the perfect leg to show how well 'The Gentle' is playing. Wattimena hit a 180 but the one way traffic continued as Suljovic went one leg away from the win at the interval.
He finished the job to set a second round tie up with James Wade with both players having contrasting routes through to this point tonight but overall it was a brilliant start for Mensur.
