Superb Scott Williams continues PDC Challenge Tour dominance with third title of the season at Event Six

Scott Williams has been one of the standouts not only on the Challenge Tour but also the ProTour this season and he continues to dominate the former with a third title of the season.

Williams won the first two tournaments back-to-back to lay down a marker before Steve Haggerty, Stu Wilson and Jim McEwan sealed the remaining events that weekend.

But for the Lincolnshire thrower, he took down Scott Marsh who himself now sits sixth in the Order of Merit in a narrow 5-4 win.

This doesn't tell the full story with Williams going 4-2 up before Marsh came back to ask the question of Williams who finally delivered the win.

With 24 events in all this season, it is far from a foregone conclusion but he is beginning to build a big lead in the Order of Merit which he will hope to further in the second event of the day.
