"The crowd were horrific, they are every year": Price not ruling out again using ear defenders after World Championship incident

Gerwyn Price was left disappointed with an early exit to Gabriel Clemens at the PDC World Darts Championship.

Speaking for the first time since his ear defenders incident, he laments his poor display at the Ally Pally as he reaches the Quarter-Finals of the Nordic Darts Masters looking to hit form.

"I'm there to win it, I'm not here to get to the semi-finals, final or any other stage where I'm not there to pick up the trophy. If I'm going to go out in Quarter-Finals, Last 16, it's pointless even turning up," said Price to Online Darts.

Speaking about that ear defenders incident, he has no regrets and isn't ruling out using them again if they are needed.

"I don't regret it, I need to try everything I can to concentrate. I tried them in practice for two or three days and they were perfect for me but it's nothing saying I'd never use them again.

"The crowd were horrific in that tournament, they are when I put them on and they are every year so whatever I can do to get the best out of myself I will do."
