Before this year, the last time Chris Dobey played in the Premier League was his Contender stint in 2019 playing on home soil in Newcastle.
Before returning home, a big date on his calendar is the League Cup at the end of the month as he misses the Baltic Sea Darts Open to go to Wembley.
"I'll be there at Wembley. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. It doesn't matter how much money we've got, the way they're playing anything can happen so I'll be making the most of it," said Dobey as per Sky Sports.
But also he has one eye on that homecoming on March 23 with a return of the spine-chilling Local Hero walk on set to take place.
"It's something I've listed in the calendar already, playing in front of a home crowd. I've just watched my walk-on in Newcastle when I was a Contender and it gave me the shivers. It's got to be done! The crowd will be buzzing and I want to give something back.
"If they win the cup I'll get the whole team to come and watch me."
