The Grand Slam of Darts is scheduled from Nov. 12 through Nov. 20. The short format in the group stage lends itself perfectly to high averages. Below is an overview of the highest averages during this tournament.

Nine of the ten highest averages were produced during group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts. Michael van Gerwen holds the tournament record with an average of 115.19. He threw this one last year in his group match against Joe Cullen (5-2).

Van Gerwen took over the record from Dimitri van den Bergh, who had thrown an average of 114.85 in 2020. Before that, the record was long held by Phil Taylor, who won with 114.65 average against Christian Kist in 2014. Geert de Vos is the number four with an average of 113.86 points, which he had set in 2015.

Michael Smith was close to the tournament record in 2019. His average in his group match against Nathan Aspinall ended at 113.62. Michael van Gerwen (112.66) and Gary Anderson (112.54) had come close to the record a year earlier.

The highest tournament average in the knockout stage is in Taylor's name. The Power threw an average of 112.37 points in the second round of the 2011 edition against Wes Newton. Two years later, the 16-time world champion reached another 112.16 average in the group stage.
