The 2024
Players Championship Finals will take place in Minehead from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24. In this article you will find the highest
averages ever in the history of this tournament.
In the last two years, two new records have been set at the Players Championship Finals. Phil Taylor threw a 111.58 average at the 2023 Players Championship Finals and that record held until 2022. Dirk van Duijvenbode bettered the record at the 2022 edition by throwing an average of 112.05.
Van Duijvenbode could only enjoy his status as record holder for one year, however, as a compatriot pulverized the record at the Players Championship Finals in 2023. Michael van Gerwen then managed to produce an average of 118.52. Later in that tournament, Josh Rock hit another average of 112.27, good for second place on the list.
Van Gerwen also ranks eighth on the list with a 2020 average of 110.01. Gary Anderson (110.62 in 2014 and 110.02 in 2018) is the only other player with two 110+ averages at the Players Championship Finals. The top-10 also includes Ian White (111.12 in 2018), Dave Chisnall (109.88 in 2023) and Simon Whitlock (109.54 in 2012).
