it is a fourth UK Open final for the three-time champion as James Wade will tussle with Luke Littler shortly aiming for a 12th major title after sweeping aside Josh Rock.
Rock was poor compared to his previous games while 'The Machine' was vintage and in full flight as he teed off eight 180's and a 99 average in a demolition job 11-2 victory to book his final spot.
After the initial break foray which saw an exchange of breaks, it was James Wade who led by some distance.
He sat 4-1 up at that point. Rock was averaging just 85 in the early stages. His scoring had dried up having hit only one 140+ score and Wade pounced to move three clear with the aid of three maximums.
Rock missed the chance to get back on the board and Wade hit double 10 to make it 5-1 on return. Wade hit an 84 checkout with Rock missing another dart to claim a further leg at 6-1 up.
Rock missed two darts from 52 and Wade made it 7-1 to punish even more. Wade hit another 180 but Rock finally got off the mark with a 100 checkout for an ironic over-the-top situation.
He had broken Wade for the first time and was throwing to go 7-3 down at the next break. He went six darts into a perfect leg but missed darts to hold and the ultimate opportunist Wade hit 81 for punishment and an 8-2 lead.
A 90 checkout on the bull saw Wade go two away. He hit the bull again for a 130 checkout having hit a seventh 180. He was throwing for a superb win. Rock missed 170 and Wade looked at 21 hitting his trademark double 10 for the win.
