One of the most iconic nine-dart finishes to take place on the Blackpool stage in recent years was the 2012 effort by Wes Newton.
He was tied up at 5-5 against Justin Pipe but smashed in perfection to surge in to the lead and it sent the crowd into raptures after they had just seen one only 24 hours earlier by Michael van Gerwen against Steve Beaton.
