The nineteenth edition of the
UK Open starts on Friday and until the tournament known as the FA Cup of Darts begins, DartsNews takes a look back at special moments and matches from the history of the tournament.
This time the attention turns to
Paul Nicholson who enjoyed some of his best form during 2010-2011.
In 2010, 'The Asset' won the Players Championship Finals and after defeating Taylor in that, going into 2011, they faced off again.
In this match, the Australian took a 7-3 lead, but Taylor managed to come back to 8-8. A decisive leg had to determine which player advanced to the quarter-finals of the UK Open.
It was Nicholson though who kept his cool and waved goodbye to Taylor following his victory.
