As the World Matchplay continues to edge closer with the draw set to take place later today and the field now confirmed, we take a look back at another classic moment; this time involving Michael van Gerwen.
In this case, he hit a brilliant nine-dart finish against Steve Beaton in the 2012 edition of the tournament. Tied at 4-4, 'Mighty Mike' kicked off with two 180's and pinned the perfect leg from there in one he never looked like missing delighting the World Matchplay crowd in the process.
