Phil Taylor has warned the 18 year old, after losing the Premier League final to Luke Humphries, that he will need to be at his best and be dedicated for at least another 25 years if he wants any chance of beating his world title record.
It is not just Phil Taylor who has had his say on
Luke Littler recently, Nathan Aspinall also thinks that the world champion could 'be off in about 5 years'. Luke Littler quickly shut down this suggestion by reassuring fans he would still be playing in 10 years time, and insisted he would only retire if he managed to catch up with Phil Taylor's records.
The ‘Power’ also speaks on The ‘Nuke’s’ social media life and why he thinks that will also play a part in him not reaching his world title records. “If he gets the right advice and the right person looking after him, then he could do other things, like social media. Some people make millions out of it”. Only time will tell if Littler is still a top darts player in years to come or if he takes up social media to make his money. With there young fans Littler has he is set to be able to do any job he wants especially in the social media area.
Luke Littler could be a World Cup Champion next month when he pairs up with the world number 1, Luke Humphries. They will be representing England and are heavy favourites to win but will they get over the line in Frankfurt. The competition is between the 12th-15th June.
Luke Littler has made it clear many times that he wants to beat Phil Taylor’s record and right now he is on track to do that, but will social media distract him from his goal. We will have to wait and see but in Littler’s words himself “I will only retire when I have beaten Taylor’s world title records”. It will be an exciting ride to see how this all plays on and how long will Littler have a darts career.
