Top 10 highest averages at the European Championship Darts (2008-2020)

The European Championship Darts are set to begin tonight in Salzburg, Austria and as a result, DartsNews takes a look back at the top averages from 2008-2020 in this tournament.

As expected, Phil Taylor leads the way with efforts back in 2009 and 2008 in 118.14 and 113.92 against Gary Anderson and Mervyn King respectively.

He rounds out the top three with 113.33 in the 2008 semi-final against Robert Thornton while Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen round out the top five with 113.04 and 111.62 in 2012 and 2016.

Jonny Clayton who won't be in Austria this week is the latest mark in the top 10 from 2019 when he pinned 111.33 against James Wade.
