Top averages Players Championship 29 & 30: Wright and Hopp top rankings

The top averages have been revealed from the final double header of Players Championship action with unsurprisingly Peter Wright topping the rankings.
Wright hit a world record during Players Championship 29 of the highest average in a broadcast match with 123.53.
As a result Max Hopp's 119.24 in second pales in comparison. Hopp hit the blistering average during the latter stages of Players Championship 30; but couldn't follow it up and as a result, he went out in the Last 16.
The top averages from there are very scattered; with only Wright, Ian White, Krzysztof Ratajski and Dave Chisnall having more than one mark on the list. As usual it serves as a good indication as to form levels and these four have been some of the stars of the ProTour this year.
Jose de Sousa similarly appears in third place with 114.55; as his rise continues. There are also marks for the likes of Ron Meulenkamp, Ritchie Edhouse and Andy Boulton with 'The Bomb' in particular showing form again; it seems only a matter of time before he has a breakthrough win potentially in 2020.

- Yes, a warning indeed. He is coming to the buffet table, out of his way. He had a lucky run at Blackpool and even luckier at the World Championship and is still living off that. - I'm a big Huybretchs fan from when he broke through at the euros in the early days, but his action has gone. So jerky and inconsistent. Looking at where he'll be in the rankings, hopefully he can treat the new year as a new start, relax, enjoy it and push on without the pressure of defending lots of ££BandB12-12-2025
