Top Premier League averages in Nottingham: Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld top rankings

The Premier League will visit Nottingham on Thursday evening for the fourteenth time with it usually guaranteeing high averages.
Three times an average of over 110 has been thrown. Michael van Gerwen was the last to do so reaching the top of the rankings; with a 113.47 during his tie with Dave Chisnall.
Raymond van Barneveld was next up hitting his in 2012; during victory over Kevin Painter when he hit a 112.28 average. Phil Taylor hit 111.15 in 2008 next up in a reverse for Van Barneveld.
Other high marks have come recently with Gary Anderson; with 108.98 in 2015 as well as Van Gerwen in the same year with 107.61.
Adrian Lewis (107.93) and Peter Wright (106.79) also succeeded in 2016 with Rob Cross and James Wade also on the list with the former having averages of 108.18 and 105.73 in 2009 and 2013.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
