Top talent Van Veen throws two highest averages during Players Championship 18

Gian van Veen threw the two highest averages of the tournament last Sunday at the eighteenth Players Championship tournament. He was also the only player to break the 105 barrier.

Van Veen threw an average of 106.04 in the quarterfinals against Jeffrey de Zwaan (6-2 win).

In his semifinal match against Joe Cullen (7-1 win), the Dutchman posted an average of 105.05. In the end, Van Veen lost 8-1 to Gerwyn Price in the final.

Price did not manage to throw an average above 100 despite his tournament victory. Lee Evans (101.57), Jamie Hughes (101.33), Rob Cross (100.64), Ritchie Edhouse (100.33) and Stefan Bellmont (100.04) did.
