The Players Championship Finals is set to take place this weekend at Minehead from 22-24 November and ahead of that, we take a look at the highest averages in the history of the competition.
Phil Taylor has the highest average in this tournament in 2013; where he threw an average of 11.58 in his Quarter-Final match against Raymond van Barneveld. He ended up winning that match 9-2. He is also in seventh and eighth place; with averages of 108.63 and 108.49.
Ian White was close to achieving the tournament record last year; after hitting an 111.12 average during a 6-2 victory over Scott Taylor.
Gary Anderson (110.62 and 110.02) is the only other player; who managed to throw above 110 average wise in this tournament.
Other players on this list include Michael van Gerwen further down with averages of 108.34 and 108.28 in this tournament with Simon Whitlock also in the top 10 with 109.54 in 2012 against Ronnie Baxter.
