For the first time since 2019, a European Tour tournament will be played in the Netherlands. Ian White won the 2019 Dutch Darts Masters in Zwolle by beating Michael van Gerwen in the final. A year earlier, White had also won the Dutch Darts Championship in Maastricht. Van Gerwen won the Dutch Darts Masters from 2014 to 2018. Simon Whitlock (2012) and Kim Huybrechts (2013) also won a Dutch European Tour event in the past.
