Many big names are competing in the first Euro Tour tournament after the summer break. Most of the world's top players are present at the Euro Tour event in Hungary. The seeds are headed by Dave Chisnall, while players such as Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Ross Smith, Luke Littler, and Michael van Gerwen are also among the seeded players.

The sixteen Order of Merit qualifiers were also assured of an automatic starting spot at the Hungarian Darts Trophy, but must start from the first round. This includes Jonny Clayton, Michael Smith, Raymond van Barneveld, Peter Wright, James Wade, Dimitri van den Bergh and Nathan Aspinall. As well as Tour Card Qualifiers.

The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the denouement of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

The Hungarian Darts Trophy is scheduled to take place for the fourth time. In 2021, Gerwyn Price managed to win the very first edition by beating Michael Smith 8-2 in the final. A year later, the title went to Joe Cullen, who was too strong for William O'Connor in a surprising 8-2 final. In 2023, Dave Chisnall took the title by beating Luke Humphries in the final.
