Unstoppable Beau Greaves defeats familiar rival Fallon Sherrock, wins PDC Women's Series 17

Beau Greaves won another tournament at the PDC Women's Series on Saturday afternoon. At the seventeenth event in Milton Keynes, the 21-year-old was too strong for her compatriot Fallon Sherrock in the final, 5-3.

'Beau 'n Arrow' started the afternoon with a whirlwind performance, posting an average of 105.47 in the last 64 to win 4-0 over Portugal's Marlene Barcelos. En route to the final, the women's world champion then managed to deal with Grace Ferridge (4-0), Lisa Ashton (4-1), Aileen de Graaf (5-2) and Gemma Hayter (5-2), before meeting Fallon Sherrock in the final.

Sherrock began her run with a 4-0 victory over Tracey Heppinstall at the last 128. She then successively defeated Chelsea Campbell (4-0), Felicia Blay (4-0), Paige Pauling (4-1), Deta Hedman (5-0) and Noa-Lynn van Leuven (5-1) to force a spot in the final match.

In that final, it was Greaves who shot out of the starting blocks and made it 1-0 with a 13-darter. However, Sherrock then turned it on and won three legs in a row to move to 3-1. A little surprise seemed in the making, as Greaves has dominated the last few tournaments at the Women's Series. But "Beau 'n Arrow" then picked up four legs in a row, including via two 13-darters, to just win the match 5-3 in the end.

With this, the 21-year-old secured her 11th tournament victory in a total of 17 events. In addition, as a result, she is currently unbeaten in 38 matches at the Women's Series tournaments, indicating that there is clearly no measure of the three-time women's world champion at the moment.
