Michael Smith is certain of a spot in the Premier League Darts play-offs after winning the weekly title in Manchester.
He convincingly took the weekly title in Manchester on Thursday night by notching an average of 110 in his final against Jonny Clayton.
In addition to Smith, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen were already certain to participate in the playoffs. Price and Van Gerwen are still battling for the first spot in the league stage. Van Gerwen managed to halve his deficit on 'The Iceman' to two points with his win over Price.
Jonny Clayton and Nathan Aspinall will decide over the next two rounds of play who will be the last semi-finalist in Premier League Darts. Both players are currently on 22 points Chris Dobey (12 points), Dimitri van den Bergh (11 points) and Nathan Aspinall (9 points) can no longer make the playoffs.
