The standings have been updated for the race to the 2020 PDC World Championship with Brendan Dolan securing his 12th consecutive World Championship appearance.

Dolan did so by claiming his first title in five years; he went from not being anywhere near qualifying in certain tournaments to close to or qualified in them including the showpiece event at the Alexandra Palace.

With minimum money added he currently sits 8th place and Arron Monk is also all but qualified for his first PDC World Championship in 6 years.

Monk has had a resurgence since returning to the tour and despite not winning a title, he has made consistent progress and now sits on the verge of a return to the Alexandra Palace.

This means it is likely that Mark McGeeney below him and the likes of Luke Humphries and Kim Huybrechts are also close to confirming their spot.

In terms of further down, James Wilson is currently hanging on to the final spot but if his form doesn't improve, he could miss out on the World Championship. Jamie Lewis is also close to dropping out as many big names stand unlikely to qualify meaning a big few months awaits.
