Updated World Grand Prix race with nine events to go

The race to the World Grand Prix has been updated after the World Matchplay with Darren Webster falling out of the provisional spots with nine events to go till the cut off.

Two of those events are this weekend with a double header of Players Championship action set to take place and with Webster not being in particularly good form as of late, it might be a big weekend in Hildesheim.

This is especially with lots of big names missing from the line-up so it presents a big chance for any player to strengthen their aspirations to be involved in Dublin.

One of those players who will be doing so is Stephen Bunting who moves into the provisional seedings at the expense of Webster and with Adrian Lewis in his sights, he could be seeded a lot higher than 16th.

Gabriel Clemens is into the last ProTour spot going into the last nine events with Dimitri van den Bergh and Darren Webster just behind him. The Order of Merit is currently headed up by Krzysztof Ratajski, Glen Durrant and Jamie Hughes; all of which look very likely confirmed for debuts in Dublin.
