Madison Square Garden is set to play host to darts for the first time as the US Darts Masters will move to the iconic venue in 2020.

The Hulu Theater at MSG will host the US Darts Masters and North American Championship on June 5-6; with the likes of Michael van Gerwen, set to make his debut in New York.
This years' tournament saw Nathan Aspinall take victory on what was his World Series debut in Las Vegas; while further afield Michael van Gerwen (Melbourne and New Zealand), Peter Wright (Germany) and Damon Heta (Brisbane) all took titles; in one of the most wide open World Series in years.
Danny Baggish will make his PDC World Championship debut at the end of the year having come through the North American Championship; eight more American and Canadian players will get their chance to take to the stage at the Hulu Theater; with chances in both the North American Championship and US Darts Masters.
PDC Chairman, Barry Hearn reacted to the news; he said that it is a fantastic development for darts and one that sees what many would see as a pipedream turn to reality.
"This is a fantastic development for darts to be bringing the glitz and glamour of the World Series of Darts to the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
"This is a world-renowned venue and 20 years ago it would have been a pipedream for darts players to take to the stage in such an iconic arena – but this is another exciting move for us as the World Series continues to grow.
