Raymond van Barneveld returned to form of sorts over the weekend at the Melbourne Darts Masters and this showed with him hitting the highest average of the weekend.
This was a 106.13 in his first round win over Haupai Puha. Rob Cross showed his form following him in second and
champion Michael van Gerwen was third with one of his first 100+ averages in some time.
Daryl Gurney also appeared on the list coming fourth with 100.60 during his final defeat with Van Gerwen's winning mark of 99.00 further down showing that you don't need the higher averages to claim the victory.
Only Damon Heta out of the local qualifiers hit a top average of 99.60 with him being the champion in Brisbane of course and this shows the disparity still in place between the main and local names.
