Van Barneveld, Schindler, Koltsov and Gawlas among Tour Card winners at European Q-School

10 days of action and two stages have come down to this with the latest batch of PDC Tour Card holders from European Q-School confirmed after the conclusion of play on Wednesday afternoon.

Geert De Vos, Geert Nentjes, Florian Hempel and Boris Koltsov took the outright spots which were won by winning each of the four days.

De Vos defeated Nentjes in the opening final to join the PDC Tour for the first time. The BDO World Trophy winner has played at Q-School a few times but will now step up and join the darting elite.

While Nentjes will immediately return after backing up the disappointment of losing in that final with victory over Day Two defeating Koltsov in the final and the promising Dutchman will get another chance with another two years on the PDC ProTour.

While Hempel will join a growing German contingent on the PDC Tour when he won outright on Day Three defeating Luc Peters in the final with the former handball player who has played on the European Tour a few times performing excellently throughout Day Three.

Koltsov was the final player through outright as he defeated Niels Zonneveld in the final on Day Four.

Both players had already secured their Tour Cards through the Order of Merit but the Russian made up for Day Two's disappointment by claiming it outright.

Onto the Order of Merit with a star name to come through being the five-time champion Raymond van Barneveld.

Van Barneveld made good on his comeback to the PDC Tour after 14 months away when he initially retired and despite not winning outright, he finished third with nine points with consistent performances on 3/4 days sealing the deal.

Martin Schindler though was the standout player not to win a Tour Card outright with 'The Wall' producing some incredible darts at times.

He produced an incredible 123 average on Day Two in the Last 64 against Stefan Nilles and today he hit a nine-dart finish in a losing effort to Raymond van Barneveld. An immediate return to the tour is set for the German.

While Zoran Lerchbacher will also return. Despite going out early on the final day, similar to Van Barneveld, he was consistent throughout three out of four days and finished on eight points to comfortably move through.

Adam Gawlas won through on the final day due to his run to the semi-finals where he lost out to Boris Koltsov. Now the Czech youngster will make the step up for the first time to live up to his promise.

While Michael Unterbuchner will do the same. The former Lakeside semi-finalist has played at Q-School for a few years but never got over the line but this time he has with seven points in the end.

Finalising the line-up is the returning John Michael and Robert Marijanovic - with the latter coming through due to Koltsov winning the final and an outright Tour Card.

This meant that for Rusty-Jake Rodriguez in particular, he cruelly missed out on stepping up to the tour due to leg difference.
