Van Barneveld takes advantage of missed doubles to ease past Nijman, Adams edges past Evans in deciding leg

The action in the final MODUS A Night At The Darts of the week has began with early victories for both Raymond van Barneveld and Martin Adams.

Van Barneveld took advantage of Wessel Nijman who has been once again one of the leading lights of this week's poor form on the doubles. His compatriot missed 18 darts at double and as a result RVB eased through the opening clash despite only averaging 80 himself compared to 79 from his opponent.

Adams also claimed an upset to begin proceedings seeing off in-form David Evans in a 5-4 victory courtesy of a 14-darter in the deciding leg. Could there be a shock result tonight?

A Night At The Darts is a competition that runs in conjunction with the Icons of Darts League. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each evening like the day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win.
