Van Barneveld throws personal highest recorded average on Super Series

Raymond van Barneveld started the fifth iteration of the PDC Super Series in the best way possible with a 6-1 win over Justin Pipe with the addition of a 115.73 average.

With two 11-darters, a 12-darter and a 15-darter, Van Barneveld quickly took a 4-0 lead. A blip saw Pipe take the next leg in 21 darts, after which Van Barneveld took it with an 11 and 12-darter.

His average of 115.73 is the highest recorded average ever for the 54-year-old. His old record was 113.38, thrown at the 2018 World Cup of Darts.
