To begin the evening session on Saturday night at the
International Darts Open in Riesa,
Dimitri van den Bergh and
Dirk van Duijvenbode have made light work of their opponents in Mensur Suljovic and Nico Kurz.
Van den Bergh breezed past Martin Lukeman yesterday and he showed his class again when facing Suljovic, a former champion in this tournament.
He set the tone early on smashing in a wonderful 167 checkout and maintained his level in a brilliant display averaging 98 and hitting 66% on the doubles in a 6-1 win. 'The Dreammaker' is on the march this weekend in Germany.
One player who won't delight the crowd further is Nico Kurz with the German ace who showed some of his promise in dumping out compatriot Gabriel Clemens yesterday was knocked out with ease by Van Duijvenbode.
'The Titan' has not been in the best form as of late but made light work of the home hero in one of the best displays seen so far this weekend winning 6-0 with a 100.2 average and 60% on the doubles. He moves through to the Final Day.
