In his victory over Stefan Bellmont on Saturday night at the Czech Darts Open, Dimitri Van den Bergh achieved a little bit of history as he reached the personal milestone of 100 European Tour matches.
Becoming just the 24th player to take part in 100 matches on the Euro Tour, Van den Bergh's win/loss record isn't actually as good as you might expect given the calibre of dart player the Belgian is.
From his first 100 European Tour matches, Van den Bergh has a win percentage of just 48%, meaning he has lost over half of his games on the Euro Tour stage. 'The Dreammaker' has also never been able to claim a tournament victory on the Euro Tour so far in his career.
After a relatively disappointing Premier League Darts campaign, Van den Bergh will be hoping his win over Bellmont can kick-start his form, starting with a first European Tour title at the Czech Darts Open. Facing off against number one seed Luke Humphries in the third round however means it will be no easy task.
Dimitri Van den Bergh is the 24th player to join the 100-Euro-Tour-Games club. However his record is nothing to write home about… he won 48 and lost 52.#CDO23 I #Darts I #ET8
