Dimitri van den Bergh won through an epic over World Number One, Gerwyn Price to move into the semi-finals of the World Matchplay where he will now take on Krzysztof Ratajski.
An eventful clash, Van den Bergh gave his assessment and his thoughts both after and during the match.
"I've already said to my missus, I said to my manager, what have I just done. I'm ecstatic, I'm sky high. I'm living it, I'm dreaming it," said Van den Bergh post match.
"My feelings was focused. Anytime in the game, my feelings were focused, I was nervous, my heart was racing but a lot of times, I looked up to my manager and missus and they just kept me going."
"No disrespect to Gerwyn and I think I'm the deserved winner tonight. That's why he's a World Champion, he knows if he's not playing the greatest, he'll find a way to defeat his opponents."
Sends a message after victory
He also sent a message after his victory over Gerwyn Price after there were perceived tactics from the World Champion about how ultimately he will let his darts do the talking.
"It's not about what you say, it's about what you show on the dartboard. Stop talking show it and that's what I do. I work so hard, I give everything in every game and my darts will do the talking not your mouth. You can be in your own belief the best in the world but if you're not winning tournaments, who are you."
More to come
But the defending champion doesn't believe he is yet at the peak of his powers and that he is still developing his talent.
"I'm not at my best yet. I believe that because you work hard, hard work will pay off. It's the saying talent will get beaten by hard work because talent doesn't work hard."
