Van Duijvenbode follows in Wade and Noppert's footsteps with final spot in Amsterdam

Dirk van Duijvenbode reached the final of the World Series of Darts Finals at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam last Sunday. However the local hero saw Gerwyn Price claiming the title with a narrow 11-10 victory.

With his final spot, Van Duijvenbode became the third unseeded player to reach the final at the World Series of Darts Finals.

Danny Noppert also managed this, in 2019. The Dutchman then lost to fellow countryman Michael van Gerwen in the final. James Wade became the only unseeded player to actually win the tournament in 2018.
