Van Duijvenbode reflects on World Grand Prix final defeat to Price: "I'm more disappointed about my game than losing the final"

Dirk van Duijvenbode fell short in the final of the World Grand Prix capping off a brilliant week for 'The Titan' with a 5-2 defeat against Gerwyn Price.

Van Duijvenbode sees it as a missed opportunity after producing a comeback from 4-1 down as he started to produce some of his best darts to test the resolve of 'The Iceman'.

"I feel very disappointed in myself," said Van Duijvenbode. "I don't mind losing. If I play my normal game I'm okay if I lose, but tonight I don't know what happened.

"I didn't show what I could until I was 4-1 down and from then I think I was the better player, but it was too late.

"I'm more disappointed about my game than losing the final.

"I don't mind losing to Gerwyn. He is a great player, in the top two players in the world for sure."
