Michael van Gerwen produced the goods when it mattered to ease past Dutch adversary Jeffrey de Zwaan to reach the World Grand Prix Quarter-Finals.

Van Gerwen restricted De Zwaan to only three darts at finishing doubles and admitted afterwards that he knew what JDZ could do and so he had to play really well.

He added that he feels very confident and with both his scoring and doubling on top form, Mighty Mike doesn't have any complaints.

"I know what I'm capable of and I think I played really well," said Van Gerwen. "I had to because Jeffrey is a good guy and a phenomenally talented player, so you have to put him under pressure to make sure you keep on top of him.

"I'm very confident and I feel really good. With my scoring power and my finishing, I can't really complain."
