Michael van Gerwen once again won't win a first title of the 2021 season as he has lost out in the second round of Day Two in PDC Super Series 3.
Van Gerwen lost out to a brilliant display to William Borland who came from 2-2 to average 120.24 for the next four legs to win 6-2.
This included legs of 14, 13, 13 and 10 as he proved too good for the World Number Three who did one better than the opening day when he lost to Josh Payne with an average of just 84.
He defeated Lorenzo Pronk in the opening round but only with an average of 90 but will play no further part today.
